From 6 April, all Medicare based consultations (whether Telehealth or Face-to-Face) are uniformed in terms of eligibity and fees.  Our fees are found here.  You can book in privately (private health) if you do not have a current Mental Health Care Plan.  Please make note of this on your booking request.


 Please note that the COVID-19 Medicare initiative is seperated from the rural and remote Telehealth Psychology items which remain accessible for patients based on location. 


Dr Claire Mitchell

Claire is a Clinical Psychologist who has experience across inpatient/outpatient hospital settings and the not-for profit community sector. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults. She has a clinical interest in working with perinatal mental health/attachment-based parenting, grief/ loss, adjustment to transitions, trauma, gender- and sexuality-related Issues, anxiety, depression, and stress, and psychosis/other unusual perceptual experiences.


Sarah Haythornthwaite

Sarah Haythornthwaite has been working as a Clinical Psychologist for 20 years, in a variety of settings – in the public sector, within Aboriginal health services and privately. Sarah enjoys working across the lifespan, with adults, young people, children and families.

Sarah is registered with the Psychologists’ Board of AHPRA, with endorsed area of practice Clinical Psychology, and she is also a Psychologists’ Board endorsed Clinical Supervisor. Sarah has been a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) throughout her career. 

Lisa Dawson

Lisa is a Clinical psychologist registrar. She currently works at Cygnet Clinic and is available for face to face, phone, and telehealth sessions. She also works as a sessional academic at Edith Cowan University.

Lisa is conducting research on the impending changes to the diagnosis of personality disorders. She has contributed to assessment and research on schizophrenia, child cognitive development, personality disorder diagnosis, and parenting capacity assessment.

Dr Kaine Grigg

Kaine has a wealth of clinical experience and knowledge across a variety of settings, including working with children, adolescents, and adults; individuals impacted by substance use/dependence; psychosis & trauma. Kaine has worked in various roles as a Youth Worker, Outreach Worker, and Psychologist.
As a clinician Kaine has worked with a broad range of age groups and populations, across diverse settings, focussing on delivering clinical and forensic psychological services. Kaine has worked in residential alcohol and other drug withdrawal units, community mental health services, 


Mareese McLoughlin

Sandra Hartmann

Sandra Hartmann is a fully endorsed Clinical Psychologist who completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology in 2006, and was endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist in 2013.
She has extensive experience working with all areas of general psychology, and in assessing and treating post-traumatic stress injuries in adults. She is registered as a Psychologist and a Supervisor with AHPRA and is a member of the Australian and International Societies for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS/ASTSS).

Jane Ebert

Jane Ebert is a fully endorsed Clinical Psychologist who completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology in 2002, and has sound experience working with children (parenting for under 12’s), families, adolescents (individually from 13 upwards) and adults. She is registered as a Psychologist and a Supervisor with AHPRA and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Jane worked with Specialist Services at Disability Services Commission for 5 years and has worked with adolescents and adults with mental health issues in the government sector for over 4 years.


Dr Petra Skeffington

Dr Skeffington is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice and a Senior Lecturer (Acting Head of Counselling Discipline) at Murdoch University. She has researched PTSD, resilience to trauma, creative approaches to healing, treatment of non-suicidal self-injury and OCD. Dr Skeffington has tutored and lectured on research methods, non-suicidal self-injury and professional practice in both undergraduate and postgraduate university courses.


Lyn Millett

She is an AHPRA endorsed Clinical Psychologist and also holds post graduate qualifications in Forensic Behavioural Sciences and Education. She has held executive management positions in the not for profit sector, including 5 years as Executive Manager Community and Family Services at UnitingCare West. 

Kerry Curtis

Kerry is a Clinical Psychologist who has over 16 years of experience. She currently works half a day at Cygnet Clinic (Saturdays) and works full time in a Government Youth Mental Health Service as a Senior Clinical Psychologist. Kerry is registered as a Clinical Supervisor with AHPRA (registrar program).  Kerry commenced her career in the drug and alcohol field where she worked for 7 years before moving into the mental health field where she remains. Kerry’s roles have included providing psychological interventions to individuals, couples and groups.


Jess Pitt

I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience. The majority of my experience has been working with children, adolescents and their families on a variety of issues. These issues include anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation and self-harm. I also have extensive experience within the school setting and so work with youth with psychological, behavioural and learning difficulties. I also have a particular interest in resilience and social issues having completed my Master’s thesis on cyber bullying.


Maria Krabbe

Claudia Ovenden

Claudia Ovenden is endorsed by APRHA as both a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist and has a special interests in mindfulness based therapies and Schema Therapy. Claudia holds a BA from the University of Melbourne, and a PGradDip Psych and Master of Psychology (with distinction) from Curtin University of Technology. Claudia Is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and maintains membership of both the Clinical and Counselling Colleges of the APS.

Claudia has pursued an interest in mindfulness meditation since 1986 by undertaking silent retreats in southern Thailand and in Melbourne. Claudia came to Perth to deepen her practise under the guidance of Buddhist monks south of Perth. 

Bernard Hughes

Anna is a Clinical Psychologist with over 19 years of experience working with individuals, families, couples and adolescents within a variety of non-government agencies, as well as in private practice. She has extensive experience delivering brief psychological interventions for Employee Assistance Programs, and working with separated families and adolescents within the community service sector. Her approach is person centred and respectful.

Anna in employs a range of therapeutic strategies based on the client’s needs and the issues presented. She draws from Mindfulness based methods, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy and is experienced in teaching meditation and relaxation skills.  


Karee Stewart

I work from a primarily compassion based approach developed for people with high shame and low self-worth. The idea is to challenge self-criticism and self-attacking by developing and working with experiences of inner warmth, soothing, compassion and self-compassion. I also have experience with schema therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. I have worked with clients struggling with disordered eating from across the lifespan and with various diagnoses and aim to create a space that is safe and compassionate.

I take both self-referrals and referrals from GP's. Clients who have a mental health care plan may be entitled to reduced fees or medicare rebates. 


Dr Nicholas Caras

Nicholas is a clinical psychologist who works with adult and older adolescent clients at Cygnet Clinic. He completed a combined PhD / Master of Clinical Psychology degree at Macquarie University in Sydney in 2008. His PhD thesis was on the role of anger in self-regulation. His honours thesis was on the effects of compassion and guilt on intergroup relations. Following graduation he moved to Istanbul and worked at a university clinic, in private practice, and lectured at psychology departments at universities. Before qualifying as a clinical psychologist he worked as a health promotion officer at NSW Department of Health, a case worker and a counsellor at a youth centre, a research assistant and a teaching assistant at Macquarie University.

Dr Shen Nanthakumar

She has extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, and older adults in community, outpatient and custodial settings. Walace Duarte

Walace is a Clinical Psychologist with 20 years experience working in mental health, in a variety of roles and environments, including; the drug and alcohol sector, community outreach, employment services, private practice and public health.


Walace has worked with diverse groups, including; children/adolescents, couples, carers, emergency first responders, defence personnel, perpetrators of DV and indigenous groups. He is currently working in a community mental health team, treating chronic, acute and high risk psychiatric presentations. 






Mr Llyod Fernandez

Lloyd Fernandez is a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. He has been practising for over 25 years. He provides counselling, psychotherapy, consultancy, and clinical supervision. He works with individuals, couples, groups and organisations (EAP). Lloyd works part-time at Cygnet Clinic in Fremantle on Saturdays.

He works with people across the lifespan for general counselling. He has a particular interest in working with parents in the early years, parent-child attachment, men's issues, trauma recovery, depression, anxiety, relationships, grief and loss, and self-esteem. 

Dr Suzanne Brans

Dr Suzie Brans is a clinical psychologist currently working at Cygnet Clinic Fremantle. She is endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist and Supervisor with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

Her clinical interests include anxiety disorders, trauma, adjustment to illness and major life events, mood disorders, psycho-oncology, low self-esteem and emotion regulation difficulties.

Suzie has extensive experience working with the complex interplay between physical and mental health and a special interest in the integration of faith and psychology.
