Associate Professor Bradleigh Hayhow is a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist at Fiona Stanley Hospital and the state Neurosciences Unit. Due to Academic appointments and Hospital Based employment, Dr Hayhow is not currently seeing patients at Cygnet and remains on our Expert Advisory Team.  All Fremantle Psychiatric rxeferrals are advised to be directed to Dr Khanna

A/Prof Hayhow obtained his primary medical degree from Flinders University in South Australia after first completing a First Class Honours degree in the philosophy of mind and cognition at the University of Adelaide. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and during training undertook clinical and research fellowships at the Melbourne Neuropsychiatry Centre.

A/Prof Hayhow’s interests include the mood and affective disorders (especially related to primary neurological conditions), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), Tourettes Syndrome, General Adult and Young Adult Psychiatry. He is also Associate Professor and head of Psychiatry specialisation at Notre Dame University Fremantle.

A/Prof Hayhow works from a highly specialised medical model assessing the influence of multiple biological factors on Mental Health.

Referrals

Dr Hayhow remains in an advisory capacity only (no clinical work).  New patients are encouraged to book in with Dr Sanjay Khanna.  You are required to have a valid referral letter dated with your General Practitioners provider number and name clearly stated. The referral letter must contain the sentence “under Item 291 for specialist opinion and report” at this current stage.
