Clinical psychologist at Cygnet available for conducting assessments and psychotherapy for adults and adolescents. She currently works out of the Midland rooms only (Saturdays). Maria is a Senior Clinical Psychologist on our team and part of the Cygnet Leadership Group.
Experience
11 years’ experience as a clinical psychologist working with complex client presentations. Main experience lies within individual assessments and short and long term psychotherapy working with anxiety, mood, personality, psychiatric, behavioural and impulse disorders.

Clinical Interests
Main use of cognitive behavioral therapy (in particular acceptance and commitment therapy/mindfulness), behavioral therapy, emotional focused therapy, specific interest in connection between mental and physical wellbeing, holistic understanding to mental health.
Experience working with indigenous and foreigners with sensitivity to cultural issues

Referrals
Referrals are accepted from MVA insurance, Workers’ Compensation, Medicare based referrals and self-referral. Accepting referrals at present, Saturdays only in Midland Clinic.
Due to Maria’s current work in the Department of Justice, she is unable to see offenders or those with an offending history (conflict of interest imposed by the department).
