Gannon is a Registered Psychologist who provides an open collaborative space to allow personal growth, empowerment and momentum. Working with adolescents (12+), adults, and couples from diverse backgrounds. Gannon provides assessment, intervention and treatment planning across the following areas: depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief/loss, trauma, personal and professional stressors, addictions and more. Gannon's gentle interpersonal style is empathetic and non-judgemental, validating your present experience whilst collaborating with you to bring about helpful and practical change.
Experience
Gannon has worked within private and public hospital mental health settings at St John of God Public and Private Hospitals Midland, PeopleSense by Altius with Employee Assistance Program (EAP) FIFO and remote outreach programs, and private practice with Breathe Counselling Midland.
Gannon's assessment, diagnosis, and treatment focus incorporate techniques from evidence-based interventions including Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), Couples therapy (Gottman Method), Motivation Interviewing (MI), Narrative Therapy (NT) and Solution-focused Therapy (SFT) to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals.
